Ask better discovery questions

When a client asks for a dashboard, I try not to design the dashboard immediately.

I ask what decision the dashboard should support, who will use it and what happens when the numbers are unclear.

Those questions often reveal that the real need is a shared definition of pipeline health, not another page of charts.
