When clarity becomes a leadership skill

Requirements become easier to build when they describe behaviour in context. “Add a red button” tells a delivery team what a control might look like, but not why it exists or how to validate it.

A stronger requirement names the user, trigger, action and expected result.

It also identifies business rules and exceptions.

In a Dynamics 365 implementation, this distinction matters because the same request may be solved with configuration, automation or a small extension.

Good requirements leave room for the right solution while making the intended outcome unambiguous.

They are specific enough to test and open enough to avoid designing the answer too early.
