When clarity becomes a leadership skill

A recommendation is more than a preferred option. It is a small argument: a point of view supported by evidence, trade-offs and a practical next step.

Start with the headline so the listener knows where you are going.

Then explain the criteria you used, such as time to value, risk or maintainability.

Acknowledge the strongest alternative instead of pretending it has no merit.

Finally, make the decision easy to take: state what you need, from whom and by when.

This structure helps executives engage with the decision rather than getting lost in the background research.
